Rocket Nation:
In consideration for the general safety and enjoyment of all spectators at Yeager Stadium on game night we are putting in place a "No Footballs allowed to be brought into the stadium" policy starting this Friday evening. (8/30/24) I believe this policy will help protect the safety of all spectators and improve the game day atmosphere of our Friday night gatherings. What we have now are multiple "pick-up football games" going on in various spots around the stadium. Those pick-up games pose a safety issue as well as a distraction from the football team, the cheerleaders and the band who have worked so hard to put on a great evening.
I am asking that no one brings a football or any other type of ball into Yeager Stadium on game night. Those that do will kindly be asked to take the ball back out to the car. Thank you and Go Rockets!

Rocket Fans: A few notes about tonight's (Friday 8/23) opening home football contest vs. Finneytown.
1) All spectators including digital ticketed fans, cash tickets and all passes (Senior citizen, SBAAC, pass list) will enter through the main ticket gate on the middle school side of the stadium. The gate that has been used in the past as a "pass gate" is closed and will be utilized by EMS and for the football team and band only. Thank you for your cooperation with this change.
2) At tonight's game we will honor Kinley Sexton. Please wear purple in her honor. Students and fans are asked not to throw powder in the air to honor Kinley. Wearing purple and a pre-game celebration with her family is how we will honor Kinley's life and her family as well as raise awareness for childhood brain cancer.
3) I look forward to a great fall sports season and supporting our student-athletes in a respectful, energetic, excited fashion.
4) Get your Home Town Ticket season passes. This will save you money and be a convenient way for you, the kids and the entire family to get into all regular season home games for all sports middle and high school in 2024-25.. Link:https://www.cneschools.org/page/ticketing

CNE National Honor Society and Magnified Giving Donates $1,000 to CNECares
The capstone project for NHS as the year comes to a close is one that encapsulates all the qualities of what an NHS member has; character, scholarship, leadership, and service. Magnified Giving is a student-led philanthropic non-profit organization that empowers students to be leaders in their communities by giving back to other non profit organizations that make an impact in some capacity by providing awareness, donations, or education, etc.
NHS President Jesse Foebar had the NHS Officers, which include fellow seniors; Vice President Tiger Moore, Secretary Rylie Pence, Treasurer Rose Bruns, Historian Bella Bosley, and Parliamentarian Symon Mattes) lead the other NHS members into selecting a nonprofit organization of their choice. Then, those groups ranging from "Meals on Wheels" to "Clermont County Animal Rescue Fund" were to interview the Nonprofit Organization, find out what they do, what they provide, and basically what they do as a whole. It wasn't just "I like animals so that's why I wanted to do the ASPCA." There was more in-depth analysis of what the $1,000 could do for that particular nonprofit. Finally, those groups were to come up with a presentation based on why their selected nonprofit should benefit from receiving the $1,000 provided by Magnified Giving in front of a panel of teachers. It was ultimately the teachers who having listened to all the presentations of students making their case for the groups that they selected CNECares.
"We like to look to our own backyard for stuff like this. Previous years we have donated over $2,000 to NEST, our mobile tutoring service in this district. So rightfully, CNECares was a 'no-brainer' for us. The work Julie Schmidt and others do for the community is outstanding. I remember it started during Covid just getting school lunches to students when we were forced to shut down and has now morphed into a community wide food bank that has full on meal baskets, hygiene items, full backpacks with supplies for kids during the back-to-school rush, it's incredible." -Mr. Thompson, NHS Faculty Advisor
