Kula

Clermont Northeastern would like to welcome our newest therapy dog Kula to the staff! Kula is a three year old Labrador Retriever and will join Gillis in their therapy dog efforts. CNE has been on the waiting list for Kula since Gillis began one year ago.

Both Kula and Gillis have been trained at Circle Tail, an organization that trains and partners Service and Hearing Dogs for mobility assistance, seizure response, Type I Diabetes, hearing loss, and facility dogs for schools and care facilities.

“We are excited to expand the program out to have two dogs to cover the whole district,” says Superintendent Mike Brandt. “The dogs do an incredible job with the students and staff. They are an unbelievable asset to the district.”

Kula will be working on her internship through the end of the school year!
