ANNOUNCEMENT OF RECORDS DESTRUCTION:

Clermont Northeastern Local Schools is reaching out to our families regarding the management of student records. To stay up-to-date with our data policies, the District is preparing to destroy special education records for students prior to 2019 that are no longer needed to provide programs or services.

While these records have served their purpose for educational decision-making within our schools, we know they might still be important to you.

Why These Records Matter

Even if the District no longer requires this data, families often find these documents helpful later in life. You may want to retain these records if you anticipate needing them for:

  • Social Security Benefits: Documentation can be vital for future applications.

  • Future Planning: These files provide a history of services that may be useful for other adult programs or personal records.

What We Keep Permanently

Rest assured that even if the special education data is destroyed, the District maintains a permanent record of essential student information, including:

  • Full name, address, and phone number.

  • Attendance history and grades.

  • Classes attended, grade level, and year of completion.

How to Request Record Retention

If you would like the District to keep your student's records instead of destroying them, we’ve made the notification process simple and digital.

Please use the link or QR code below to fill out the Prior Notice of Intent to Destroy Data form. By submitting this, you are officially requesting that the District continues to maintain this information for your future use.
