Rocket Nation: We are incredibly excited and proud that two of our CNE Rocket wrestlers have qualified for the OHSAA state tournament finals in Columbus taking place this Friday, Saturday and Sunday.. Liberty Johnson took first place at the girls wrestling district tournament held at Harrison HS on Sunday March 8th. Liberty will represent CNE at the state tournament. Jaxon Vining took fourth place at the DIII boys district tournament held at Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio on Friday March 6th and Saturday March 7th. Jaxon will represent CNE at the state tournament. OHSAA Wrestling State Tournament Qualifiers and Brackets
State tournament begins Friday at the Jerome Schottenstein Center
COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 89th Annual Boys and Fourth Annual Girls Ohio High School Athletic Association wrestling state tournament begins Friday at the Jerome Schottenstein Center at The Ohio State University. Over three days and more than 1,300 bouts, state champions will be crowned Sunday evening in 14 weight classes for three divisions for boys and one for girls.

Last year, 69,419 fans attended the state tournament over the three days and five sessions. Lewis Center Olentangy Orange won its second-consecutive girls wrestling state championship, while boys state titles went to Lakewood St. Edward with a Division I state tournament record 258 points, Columbus Bishop Watterson in Division II with its first wrestling state title, and St. Paris Graham Local with its 23rd-consecutive wrestling state title and 24th overall.
