Brad Pierce

Brad Pierce sees CNE as a stand-out district: he was drawn in by CNE’s size and community, and captivated by CNE’s Rocket Way. New to our district this year, Mr. Pierce will be joining the CNE High School team as the Assistant Principal.

“CNE was a natural fit,” Mr. Pierce says. “I was really impressed by the Rocket Way, and how it puts a focus on building social skills in students – this student-centered approach convinced me that I wanted to join the team and become a Rocket myself.”

Mr. Pierce joins us with eight years of teaching Social Studies under his belt at Finneytown Secondary Campus, where he also worked as the Social Studies Department Head, coached the Academic Quiz Team, and led the Tabletop Gaming Club. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from Indiana University and his Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati.

Mr. Pierce explains, “I work in education because I believe that every student deserves to learn and grow, even if the way they learn is not traditional. School is a space that should allow students to explore their interests and passions and let them see how their unique gifts can impact their community and the world at large.”

One of Mr. Pierce’s biggest educational successes to date is a project fair he helped organize at Finneytown High School; parents and community members were invited to an after-school project fair which featured social studies presentations by 9th and 10th grade students. Hundreds of people came to the event, and students had their work judged by administrators, other Finneytown teachers, and a few college professors.

“I am excited to meet the students and teachers of CNE!” says Mr. Pierce. “Everyone I have met so far has made me feel so welcomed, and I am really looking forward to joining the Rocket Family.”

This summer, Mr. Pierce has been enjoying time with his wife, Samantha, his dog, an Australian shepherd named Mia, and his family in Hilton Head. Otherwise, in his free time, Mr. Pierce enjoys weight-lifting, hiking, reading, playing board games, and Dungeons and Dragons.
