Safey update

Attention Northeastern Families,

Clermont Northeastern Schools will conduct a state-required safety drill on Tuesday, May 23rd.  At approximately 1:30p Middle and High School students and teachers will be instructed to participate in a safety drill in their classrooms. Elementary School students will begin an elementary age-appropriate safety drill at approximately 2:30p  This is something we have practiced several times this school year.  On May 23rd we will take the drill one step further and practice reunifying students with their families.  This is a key element in our safety plan that we have not practiced.

Students who ride the bus or those who drive will be dismissed in a more controlled fashion.  Those families that pick up their students will be asked to test out our reunification method.  On May 23rd families who pick up their children will report to the CNEAA Fields just west of the campus. Staff will be on-site to give directions for parking.  Once parked, families will complete a reunification card to fill out and return to staff stationed in the CNEA parking lot.  Those picking up students should bring their PHOTO ID with them.

After filling out the reunification card, families should wait in their cars.  When we are ready to begin the reunification process, families will be given instructions on how to proceed to each building. Families will be directed to each building

Families who pick up students at both buildings will stop at the Middle School to pick up their students before traveling to the High School.

Again, students who ride the bus or drive themselves will be dismissed normally.  The practice reunification drill will only be for those families who pick up their students.  Anyone who picks up their student at dismissal will be directed to the CNEAA Fields.  All other entrances to the campus will be blocked.

If you have questions about the drill please contact TJ Dorsey (dorsey_t@cneschools.org)
