Preschool

The Clermont Northeastern Preschool is off to a great start for the 2022-23 school year! The Preschool has been in session for three weeks, and students are learning hallway, classroom, and restroom routines. Inside the classroom, students are interacting with their peers in learning their letters and numbers, as well as building positive peer relationships through a variety of activities.

Glenda Greene, Preschool Director, states, “It’s amazing to watch students as young as the age of three walk into the building and locate their individual locker – and then place their belongings inside that locker! These are skills of independence and confidence that show that students are understanding their place in the world and what needs to be done. It’s a great foundation for learning other skills and developing into successful students and people.”

The Preschool would like to extend our thanks to those were able to attend our Open House – hopefully families had a chance to meet our community partners, but if not, we’ve included a list and some brief descriptions below:

  • Nutrition, Education, Safety, & Transformation (NEST), which will be providing tutors within the Preschool several days a week. NEST regularly provides after school programs for the upper grade levels throughout the school year.

  • Supporting Partnerships to Assure Ready Kids for Kindergarten (SPARK), a free home visitation program for ages 3-5. This program builds a partnership with parents to prepare their child for kindergarten.

We are looking forward to a great school year!
