Mental Wellness Tip

As we emerge from the holidays and acclimate to the winter weather, it can be easy to get caught up in our long to-do lists and get overwhelmed. When you're starting to feel overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious, take a moment to ground yourself with a simple observation exercise. Too often we go through our days on autopilot - so take a look around; what do you see? What can you smell and taste? What do you hear and feel? Learning to be conscious of not only our environment but what our bodies are experiencing will help you funnel that nervous energy back to the present. These exercises can make getting through these long, cold days much more manageable.
