Superintendent Mike Brandt

Attention families,

Clermont Northeastern Schools wants to communicate with families how the decision is made to close or delay school. On days where inclement weather is predicted, district staff along with our partners at Petermann Transportation, begin driving the roads throughout the district assessing road conditions. We also receive feedback from our partners in law enforcement and county/township road crews. Our staff will use the information gathered to make a recommendation to the Superintendent to close or delay school. The Superintendent will make the final decision by no later than 5:00 am. We would love to make a decision sooner, and in some cases we will. However, we are working with the same weather forecast that you have at home. We know families have to make plans. We will make the necessary decision as soon as we can.

All decisions made to cancel or delay school are made with student and staff safety in mind. That is our top priority in all that we do. Once the decision to close or delay school has been made it will be posted on the school website, social media, and local news stations. Messages will be sent out to all families through the mass notification system for a text message, email, and a phone call. Please take a moment to update FinalForms to ensure all contact information is accurate and up to date.

Warm wishes this holiday season,

Mike Brandt, Superintendent
