As our schools start the 2nd Quarter we wanted to take a minute and remind everyone of the enhanced cleaning methods that the District has had in place since the start of the school year. Prior to school starting the District purchased electrostatic disinfecting machines that are used in each building, each night. The machines allow the building custodians to sanitize classrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and offices quickly and efficiently after students and staff have left for the day.
Additionally, the District has contracted with Alpha and Omega to perform a deep disinfection of the buildings monthly. During this, technicians from Alpha and Omega spray a long lasting disinfectant that continues to repel germs and bacteria for 30 days, called Germ Stop.
All of these things are in addition to the enhanced cleanings that building custodians are doing on a daily basis. High touch surfaces are cleaned and disinfected routinely throughout the school day. Please know the District is doing everything in our power to ensure that our schools remain safe places for our students to learn and grow.
