Travis Dorsey

Assistant Superintendent, CNE Schools

CNE Schools has many familiar faces within its mix, and Travis Dorsey (aka TJ) is one of them! Mr. Dorsey has been a part of the Clermont Northeastern Community for over a decade, serving as the Behavior Intervention Specialist, Dean of Students, and Director of Operations. We are now thrilled to introduce him as the Assistant Superintendent for the district.

Mr. Dorsey has not only been a part of the CNE community for about 15 years as an educator and coach, but he moved entirely to the district eight years ago. “We wanted to move into the district so my children could grow up in Clermont Northeastern and benefit from all the great progress we have been making. I have a wife, Michelle, and two children, Cooper (10) and Nora (7) – both of whom attend CNE. I also house and love one of the school’s service dogs, Gillis, who is going into his fourth year as a part of the district.”

Throughout the last eight years, Mr. Dorsey has seen nothing but growth within the community and district – and the 2023-24 school year looks to be no different. “CNE is poised to show incredible academic growth and continue that growth for years to come,” he adds. “I am excited to see the hard work all of the staff have been putting into the educational experience, and how much positive change it will bring.”

Working in education is a passionate and rewarding profession for Mr. Dorsey as he builds relationships with students, families, and staff members, and collaborates with multiple teams to accomplish goals that further CNE’s development. One of Mr. Dorsey’s educational priorities is to increase educational accessibility:  “I have been very fortunate to work with many incredible staff members on projects that help remove barriers for children. Bringing Mercy Health into the district has been a great accomplishment so far!”

When thinking about his free time this summer, Mr. Dorsey simply laughs, “There is not much time to relax – there’s lots of work around schools to be completed! When I can get away, I enjoy fishing and golfing with my family, as well as working out and running. I also enjoy going to watch all forms of racing.”

Congratulations, Mr. Dorsey – CNE is proud to welcome you into this new role!
