Mr. Thompson visited Ms. Wayne's AP Lit class to provide background knowledge and historical context as they prepare to read "The Things They Carried". A great pre-reading strategy to help students comprehend unfamiliar texts and create deeper meaning with the material.

Students in Mr.Tabor’s Government classes are studying the Declaration of Independence. So, Ms. Wayne’s English 11 classes are reading and analyzing the document. A great example of literacy spanning different classes and teachers collaborating!


This year we will be having visits from colleges and the trades. Jolly Plumbing HVAC will be here on Sept. 1 during lunches to talk about careers and training opportunities. Students can see Mr. Thompson with questions. A college visit schedule will be shared soon.

We are incredibly excited to be starting an eSports Team this school year! Students will have the opportunity to compete in a variety of games against teams from across Ohio. Interested high school students can see Mr. Williams or Mr. Sick for more information.


Thank you to Roothouse Aquaponics in Batavia for the tilapia to get the aquaponics system in Mr. Wells' room up and running. They have been a great resource and partner. Our students will benefit tremendously from the hands on learning and the collaboration with Roothouse.
