Our English Teachers and Intervention Specialists had the opportunity to work with Dr. Tammy Barron yesterday and today. The focus was on strengthening co-teaching relationships to better meet the needs of all students. A great opportunity thanks to our Literacy Grant work!


On Friday, students will attend a Veterans Day Assembly at 9a. A full class schedule for the day is included.

Mrs. Stegemann's Wellness Class logged 200 laps in honor of Lung Cancer Awareness Month last week. In addition to the physical benefits of exercise, they also gained valuable knowledge about lung cancer.


Students in Ms. Michalski's World History class tasted "oat cakes" today. It was the breakfast usually eaten by factory workers during the Industrial Revolution. Students rated "oat cakes" a "0" and appreciated the breakfasts prepared by our amazing cafeteria staff even more!




Students in Ms. Salzl’s Art classes shared the pieces they created and critiqued each others work using artistic terms. A great demonstration of literacy being incorporated into art class.



Congratulations to Savanna Smith (9th) for being our "Positive Office Referral Drawing" winner for October. Savanna's was submitted by Ms. Stegbauer for being helpful, respectful, and positive in class. Keep up the great work Savanna!


About 60 of our students had the opportunity to attend the Cyclone’s education day this morning. It was a great experience for the students who went! The students learned a few things and got to see a great game.




Senior Lexus Wilson won "Dress the Principal" at last week's 1st Quarter Reward Assembly. She picked a Marching Rockets uniform. Happy Halloween!


Halloween costumes are allowed on Monday. Make sure they are school appropriate!

Greatness has no off-season! The Academic Quiz is hard at work preparing for the upcoming season. The “open buzzers” were intense today.

Students in Ms. Elliott's English 9 class had to find evidence for a particular characteristic as they read a short story. They then moved around the room agreeing or disagreeing with other groups. A great strategy our teachers learned as part of our literacy grant work.



Thursday is Twin Day! Find a friend and dress the same for Day 4 of Spirit Week.

Kona Ice will be at the High School on Monday. Students will have the opportunity to purchase a treat after lunch.
