Dear Families and School Community,

We hope you and your loved ones are staying safe.

As many of you know, our campus is currently without power, and several surrounding roads remain closed due to recent storm damage. While the disruption has been challenging, there is a strong sign of progress right outside our doors: an army of utility repair vehicles is currently staged in our school parking lot. Crews are working around the clock, and we are hopeful for a quick turnaround.

To ensure our facilities are completely safe and all building systems are fully operational, our teams will be conducting comprehensive building assessments and safety checks through the end of the day Friday and into Monday morning.

To give our crews the time they need and to ensure we launch the school year on the strong, positive note our families deserve, we are adjusting our opening schedule as follows:

Revised Dates at a Glance

  • Open House: Monday, August 17 | 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM

  • First Day of School (All Students): Tuesday, August 18

Important Update for Kindergarten Families

Because of the adjusted schedule, Kindergarten will no longer have a staggered/split start. Both boys and girls will begin together on Tuesday, August 18.

We know the first day of Kindergarten is a big milestone! To make sure it goes as smoothly as possible, we will have extra staff members on hand Tuesday morning to greet students, offer helping hands, and guide everyone safely to their classrooms.

Welcoming families into our building to meet teachers, explore classrooms, and ask questions is a foundational part of our school culture and who we are. Taking this brief pause ensures we can keep that tradition intact while prioritizing the safety of our entire community.

Thank you all for your extraordinary patience, flexibility, and support as we navigate these unexpected circumstances together. We will share additional updates and details over the next couple of days as repairs progress.

We can’t wait to see you all on Monday evening!
