Summer Program
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is offering two five-week programs for students who are entering 11th or 12th grade or who will be graduating in June, 2008.The Health Careers Exploration Program will provide 20 high school students with wide-ranging and in-depth exposure to careers in medicine, research, and the allied health professions. The Howard Hughes ExSel Program is an intensive five week program for 20 gifted and talented high school students who have an interest in pursuing a career in medicine or biomedical research. Students must have a minimum of 3.4 GPA, SAT scores of 1750 or ACT composite scores of 28 or above. To apply go to www.med.uc.edu and click on summer program.
Scholarship for Juniors: The Better Business Bureau is sponsoring a scholarship for Juniors. BBB will be awarding up to five scholarships for $1,000 each. Candidates for this award will be judged solely on how their essay displays their firm understanding and commitment to ethics. This is not an academic scholarship. Application may be picked up in the guidance office. DEADLINE May 19, 2008
